All entrants in Yard Dog, Quick Shear, Horse and Livestock Competitions must be financial members of the Casterton P&A Society. To find out how to become a member please see membership section of this site.

Livestock
Sheep Section
- Entries in classes 2-29 are restricted to sheep from registered studs.
- Exhibitors must lead or arrange sheep to be led before the judge.
All sheep section entries must include a completed Flock Health Status form.

Cattle Section
- Entries Close: .
- MNI STATUS must appear on entry form.
- All entries must be the property of the exhibitor.
- All animals must be registered with their respective breed societies.
- All cattle must have been taught to lead and will be tied up where directed by Stewards.
- Children under 12years handling cattle must be under adult supervision.
- All bulls over 12 months shall be ringed through the nose.
- All cattle to be TUBERCULOSIS AND BRUCELLOSIS accredited free or tested 30 days prior to show.
- Age of Beef Cattle to date from 10th November 2018.
- Cow must be in milk or in calf. Veterinary Certificates may be requested certifying positive pregnancy test if over the age of 2½ years.
Poultry Section
- Entries close: TBC.
- Late entries may not be accepted due to penning constraints.
- Children’s Classes open to children under 16 years, where their parents do not show the same breeds.
Wool
- Fleeces to be in Stewards’ hands by 10.00am.
- Fleece must be owned by the exhibitor.
- Weights must be in kilograms.
- All fleeces must be skirted.
- Growth of wool in no case to exceed 13 months.
- All ram’s fleeces excluded from champion fleece competitions.
Indoor Pavillion

Tickets: can be collected from the Indoor Pavilion on show day or at any of the times listed below.
If you require your ticket to be posted to you, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your entry form.
Exhibits: will be accepted at the Indoor Pavilion between:
Note: All exhibits are to be in place by 9:30am on Show Day and are not to be removed until 4:30pm.
Prize money: Can be collected from the Indoor Pavilion with exhibits from 4:30pm on show day.
Note: Prize monies that are not collected on the day will be forfeit.
Art
- School entries and fees will be collected on: TBC

- Entries via schools must have: Child’s name, grade, school and category attached to the art.

Cookery
- Entries to be displayed on a paper plate.
- Section cards to be attached or entries not accepted.
Handiwork

Flowers & Make Up Work
- Must supply own bottles.
- Must have a single leaf attached with a rose.
- One bloom means no bud, with a leaf attached.
- One stem only, must be in the bottle.
- Bottle or container must be appropriate to the size of bloom or branch.
- There must not be any foliage inside the bottle.
- There must be water in the container (water available at pavilion).
Produce
- Small produce should be displayed on a white paper or plastic plate (around 20-23cm in diameter).
- Produce should be even in size, colour and shape, and at the peak of ripeness.
- The judge has the right to, and will, cut open any fruit or vegetable to check for uniformity and faults.
